Intermediate Obedience
Service Description
Intermediate training takes the basic skills your dog already knows — like sit, down, stay, come, and loose-leash walking — and strengthens them in real-life situations. Dogs learn to respond more reliably, even with distractions such as other people, dogs, noises, or new environments. Typical goals include: 🐾 Longer stays and stronger recall (coming when called) 🐾 Walking politely on leash in busier areas with more distractions 🐾 Better impulse control (e.g., waiting at doors, not rushing food bowls) 🐾 Improved focus and responsiveness around people, dogs, and activity 🐾 Beginning off-leash skills in safe, controlled environments 🐾 Adding hand signals or verbal cues for flexibility 🐾 Working on good manners in everyday scenarios (restaurants, parks, visits, etc.) The emphasis is on helping dogs become well-mannered in the real world, not just in a quiet training space. Training is done using positive reinforcement (treats, toys, praise, and play), making learning fun and rewarding.
