Meet the Trainer Behind the Treats,
Angela Geisel, IDTP, IDBS

My Story
Hi, I’m Angela— the trainer behind the treats!
I’m an Independant Dog Training Professional and Independant Dog Behavior Specialist helping dogs and their humans build better communication, trust, and behavior — one treat at a time.
My journey into dog training started because of two special dogs, Cass and Cade.
Meet Cass
We welcomed Cass into our family from a humane society when she was just 6 months old, a sweet soul who had been found wandering the streets. From the moment we met, our family was smitten, and Cass's love for the kids was instant. She was my first furry friend since losing my loyal companion, Bailey, over 5 years ago. But as the months went by, challenges arose. It started with a tiny nip, which I brushed off as a one-time mistake. Unfortunately, it became a recurring issue, happening randomly and more frequently. Feeling lost, we turned to training, hoping it would be the solution. Trainer after trainer came and went, each with a new approach, but none seemed to work.
Cass's behavior grew increasingly unpredictable, and the biting continued, sometimes targeting the kids without warning, and even me when I was petting her. Vet visits offered no answers. Just when I felt hopeless, the shelter where we adopted Cass suggested seeking a behavior specialist. Though my heart skipped a beat with renewed hope, the specialist's verdict was devastating: Cass's condition, having gone untreated for so long, was deemed untreatable, and she posed a danger to my family. The hardest decision loomed ahead – saying goodbye to my dear Cass.
Though heartbroken, I learned invaluable lessons from this journey. I felt frustrated that the trainers hadn't provided the right guidance sooner. Looking back, I wonder if there was still a chance for Cass. Her story fuels my mission now: to help other dogs like her find the support they need, and to be their voice when they can't speak for themselves.
Meet Cade
Cade was a rescue — just like our sweet girl, Cass. We adopted him to be her companion so she’d never feel lonely while the family was away at work and school. From the moment we met Cade, we were drawn in by his gentle spirit. He was shy, quiet, and clearly heartbroken after being surrendered when his previous family moved away and couldn’t take him with them. It broke our hearts.
Despite his initial shyness, Cade quickly settled into our home. He was incredibly loving — a true snuggler who just wanted to be close.
Sadly, our time with Cade was far too short. During a moment of excitement, he jumped up to greet a visitor who had bent down to pet him, resulting in a minor incident that was unfortunately misunderstood and escalated. What followed was an emotionally difficult experience — one that highlighted just how vulnerable dogs and their owners can feel when behavior is misread or poorly managed.
That experience changed everything for me.
It’s what drives my passion as a trainer today: to give dog parents the tools, confidence, and support I wish I had back then. My mission is to reduce the stress and uncertainty that can come with dog ownership — and to help more dogs like Cade succeed in the loving homes they deserve.
Meet the Current Pup Squad
These pups are my heart, my soul, and quite honestly — my full-time supervisors. They were the final nudge (or maybe the full-body shove) that inspired me to finally chase my dream of becoming a dog trainer and behavior specialist.
From tail wags to side-eyes, zoomies to snuggles, they’ve taught me more than any textbook ever could. They’re the reason I do what I do — and also the reason there’s dog hair on absolutely everything I own.
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
